[Romana looked around, trying not to panic.]

I'm not... I don't think I'd taste well. No not at all.

[She slowly reached into her jacket for her sonic, she wasn't sure what good it would do at the moment, but she felt better holding it in her hand.]

[Tony lunged forward, taking another swing at her.]

[That was quite enough of that. Romana ducked and dodged again before calling out in a sharp voice.]

Security, restrain Tony Stark!

[Tony didn't have time to react, he hadn't even remembered there were security systems in the office. Before he could react a blast of energy hit him square in the chest, sending him to the ground.]

[Romana rushed forward but stopped just short of his reach.]

[Tony groaned and shifted on the floor, his entire body tingling and difficult to move.]

[Quickly crossing to his desk, Romana picked up the phone and dialed the security office.]

I'm going to have security come and get you and you can stay in one of the ready rooms for the day.

[Tony growled at her and tried to push himself off the floor with limited success.]

[Romana eyed him carefully, not wanting to order another strike, but not wanting him to attack her.]

[Tony gave her a very hungry look, slowly getting up.]

[She sighed and sank into Tony's office chair, closing her eyes against the sight and the sudden tears.]

Security? Stun Tony Stark again.

[He tried to move in time to avoid the blast, but it was completely useless. The beam hit him and he slumped to the ground unconscious.]

[Romana waited until all she heard were the sounds of his even breathing and her own heartbeats before she opened her eyes again. She slowly crossed over to where Tony lay unconscious and knelt beside him, absently reaching out touch his face.

She stayed there, running her fingers through his hair, until the security team came to take him away.]
