[She chuckled a little at his smile, realizing how her statement sounded to him. Leaning over him, she peered at the device worriedly.]

What does it do?

Essentially, it's my brain. Remember how I had to wipe my memories? My brain is useless now for autonomic functions.

It's regulating all of your body's systems?

[She was surprised, it was a sophisticated piece of machinery. Reaching up, she brushed her fingers over his forehead.]

And your higher reasoning, is your biological system handling that?

The Arc Reactor helps with that too.

[He smiled and leaned into the touch.]

It’s actually increased my intelligence.

Oh, you.

[She sits on the bed next to him, leaning forward to brush her lips against his forehead before smiling down at him.]

Only you would take a life-threatening condition and use it to make you smarter.

[Tony just takes a moment to enjoy the simple, intimate gesture, something he's missed lately.]

And faster. And stronger.

And faster. And stronger.

[She chuckled and ran slender fingers through his hair, marveling at the sensation, a sharp ache telling her how much she's missed something that simple.]

I miss you. And I wish these things didn't keep happening to you.

[Tony wrapped his arms around her and pulled her down onto the bed with him.]

I know, but I do keep going looking for them.

[She's more than willing to oblige, curling around him and resting her head on his shoulder with her hand on his chest.]

You do. I wish you wouldn't. If something happened to you... I wouldn't even be able to see you like this.

[Tony reached out and ran his fingers through her hair.]

I wouldn't be me if I didn't do those things.

I know.

[Her eyes drifted closed at the sensation.]

It still doesn't ease my worry any.

What would?

[Her eyes opened.]

Having you with me, of course.

[He grinned.]

And here I was going to distract you.

As if I could stop you from trying anyway?

[She smiled a little before leaning up to whisper in his ear.]

I still love you.

[Tony smiled and pressed a kiss to this side of her neck.]

I still love you too.

[She held him a little tighter, the familiar feeling of safety and comfort she always felt at hearing those words washing over her.

Pulling his face to hers, she caught his lips in another kiss, no longer speaking, just wanting to be with him, feel him near her.]

[He kissed her back, temporarily content with feeling her lips against his and the small shiver of pleasure that brought.

It was more than just a kiss, it was as if his body and soul were readjusting themselves to be a part of Romana.]

[Fingers trailed along his jawline, retracing paths they've known so intimately. Sighing, Romana pressed closer to Tony, feeling his warmth through her clothing as she settled next to him.

It was like coming home again. As familiar as being on the TARDIS or in ehr room at the Academy.]

[Tony couldn't help but deepen the kiss. He wasn't forceful or insistent, he just wanted more of her, to feel as close to her as he could get.]

[Romana sighed, feeling him pull even closer and her hand came to rest on his chest, skin warm under her fingers. She wanted to lose herself in the moment. Find something she'd remember when she was inevitably sent back.]

Don't want to ever leave you.

I don't want you to.

[Her voice trembled against his lips, unwilling as she was to pull back any further than absolutely necessary.]

[Tony held her closer and kissed her again, hand sliding along her hips.]

What do you want?

[Chuckling a little, she kissed him back and trailed the hand on his chest down to rest on his hip.]
