[With Tony's new Bleeding Edge armor, he was able to make it to Romana's location in no time.

As soon as he landed it transformed back into his clothing, freeing him up to pull the Time Lady close and kiss her passionately.]

[Romana barely had time to breathe before he pulled her close and she ceased caring. Breathe, not breathe? Against odds she could only begin to calculate, she was back in the City, and so was Tony.

[He had missed her so much. Even across worlds and realities and missing memories you couldn't hide the memory of someone you loved, not completely.]

[She ran a finger down the side of his face, tracing it, committing it back to memory.]

I do wish we didn't have to keep meeting like this.

[Tony smiled and leaned forward, resting his forehead against hers.]

We'll figure out a way to make it more permanent one day.

[She laughs, as a realization dawns on her.]

Neither of us own any property. I left everything I had to Rose.

[She rests her head against his shoulder, closing her eyes and letting herself relax, letting the walls she normally kept in place fall.]

[Tony just held here there for a moment, enjoying her closeness. He was reluctant to let her go, as if she might disappear if he did.]

I can't believe this place brought us back again.

[Romana ran a finger along the collar of his shirt, just feeling the texture of his skin under the pad of her finger.]

Pity it won't keep us here.

Mmm, no, it probably won't. But I'll take what I can get.

[She can probably also feel that he now has an arc reactor in his chest, like movie!Tony.]

[She does and her fingers explore the edges, a slight frown appearing on her face.]

[He gave a bit of a smile.]

[Her fingers continued to trace the outline as she pulled away a little so she could try and study it through his shirt. After all, it was a little too cold to ask him to take his shirt off here.]

Can you take us somewhere? I want to look at it.

Sure, that's not a problem.

[Tony kissed her again before summoning the armor. Carefully holding her, he headed toward the City proper. It didn't take him long to find an empty apartment they could use for the day.]

[It... was not a preferred method of transportation, but once they were landed, Romana rubbed her hands over her arms to warm them. Motioning to the bed, she gave Tony a gentle push.]

Go lie down and take your shirt off.

[Tony grinned and readily obeyed. It was so hot when Romana combined scientific curiosity with potentially erotic statements like that.]

[She chuckled a little at his smile, realizing how her statement sounded to him. Leaning over him, she peered at the device worriedly.]

Essentially, it's my brain. Remember how I had to wipe my memories? My brain is useless now for autonomic functions.

[She was surprised, it was a sophisticated piece of machinery. Reaching up, she brushed her fingers over his forehead.]

And your higher reasoning, is your biological system handling that?

[He smiled and leaned into the touch.]

 

It’s actually increased my intelligence.

[She sits on the bed next to him, leaning forward to brush her lips against his forehead before smiling down at him.]

Only you would take a life-threatening condition and use it to make you smarter.

[Tony just takes a moment to enjoy the simple, intimate gesture, something he's missed lately.]

[She chuckled and ran slender fingers through his hair, marveling at the sensation, a sharp ache telling her how much she's missed something that simple.]
